YouTube to MP3 is a free Firefox and Chrome add-on that I came across. As the name says it downloads YouTube and many other videos & converts them to MP3 format.

I downloaded YouTube to MP3 plugin though this link and then came the hide-and-seek part! You can’t exactly find this add-on added on to your browser. It just remains invisible. And whenever you play any YouTube or other video, you will find two buttons just like the one shown in the picture below.

As you can see, there are two options

·         Video2MP3 : Convert & download as MP3

·         Video2MP3 : Convert & Download as MP3(HQ)

The HQ (HighQuality) option converts the YouTube video to a better quality MP3. The conversion done by this software is lossless and that means the MP3 is of the same quality as in the video.

You don’t have to sign up or register for this product. Just click on any of these two options. The video URL will be fetched and software will immediately convert the video to MP3 format. And you will be provided with a download link.
