While creating an account, you will be in need to provide a master password. It will walk you through the steps to finish creating an account with LastPass. But this is a one time process. When you install Lastpass on other computers you will not have to go through this process again, you’ll simply be able to sign-in.

LastPass would start managing your passwords details whenever you log into any website. And this will make it easier for you to access any website from the next time. It provides a cross-platform, cross-browser password management option.

The very thought of storing sensitive information online is discomforting! But the tool has been working amazingly well for me all these days though I haven’t gotten up to the point of storing my credit card details online! Feel free to let me know how you find the tool after using it.

Fav-Icon sized tabs in Firefox: App Tab

App Tab is a Firefox add-on which creates Fav-Icon sized tabs in Firefox browser.

Below is a screen shot of my Firefox browser with 6 tabs open. As you can see my tab bar is fully taken up now.

App_tabs1

App Tab is a Firefox extension that creates Fav-Icon sized tabs pinned to the tab bar. Install the add-on and restart your browser. Then right click on any open tab in your Firefox browser and you will find this App Tab option as in the picture shown below.

App_tabs2

Select App Tab from the option and your tab will be sized to the Fav-Icon and pinned to the left side of the tab bar.

Now after creating the app tabs, my browser would look like the one below. You can notice the difference.

App_tabs3

If you want to turn them back to its original size, right click again on those tabs and un-check the App Tab option.

Even if you save and close your window, the App Tabs will be re-opened the next time when you start your browser.

Even simpler

If you again want to make it simple, go to App Tab options from the add-on installation and you will find a drop down menu ‘Tab clicking shortcut to create app tabs’. The simplest option is to go with ‘Double-click tab’.

App_tab4

Then every time when you want to create Fav-Icon sized tabs, just double-click on the tab and you are done. Again double-click to turn your tabs back to its original size.

Conclusion:

Fav-Icon sized app tabs feature is planned for Firefox 4.0 which is currently in beta version. If you like that feature, then you should definitely try out App Tab extension to get the feature in your current Firefox version itself.
